My Approach:

My practice focuses on understanding the person — or people — coming to therapy in the fullest sense. This means looking beyond symptoms or diagnoses to explore personal history, life circumstances, and family of origin — or, as I like to call it, the "first family." I’m particularly interested in how people make meaning of their experiences, as this shapes how they understand themselves and relate to the world.
I tailor treatment to the unique person in front of me, recognizing that each individual brings their own life story, needs, and way of being in the world.

I believe meaningful change begins with curiosity, compassion, and a sincere effort to see the whole person — not just the problem.

What happens at the first Session? At our first appointment, we’ll take time to learn about you—your strengths, challenges, and the things you’d like to work on. Therapy sessions may look different depending on what’s needed. While talking will be part of the process, we also incorporate activities to support your goals and help build new skills for managing stress. These could include mindfulness, relaxation and grounding exercises. We’ll regularly check in with you to see how things are progressing and to ensure the therapy is meeting your needs.
